A Bouquet of Newly Sharpened Pencils...

I couldn't find a picture of pencils, so, for your viewing pleasure, a site of pencil art. http://www.jennifermaestre.com/

Yes, I know, I'm a bit early, but who can resist the lure of fall clothes, pencils being sharpened and the fun of buying schoolbooks?

I have had my curriculum for the year planned out for a while, and part of the original plan was Tapestry of Grace, Year 1. That is, until I realized that I would need to spend almost my entire school budget on it, in order to buy it new. So, I decided to just go through a few of the books they have listed on their site. I still hoped for the used copy, wanting to pay about 1/2 of what it is currently going for on eBay.

Imagine my surprise and delight when Exodus Provisions had TOG units 3&4, in the year I needed, USED for the price I could afford! Yippie! It also included the base unit, which has a list of the books needed each week for units 1 and 2.

My TOG came home last week, and I spent an afternoon putting the info that I had about the first 2 units into a spreadsheet. I am very glad I started "early" prepping for the first unit... It turns out that with BB due Dec 9th, I need to start in about a week. :-)

Hahahaha!!! So much for a leisurely 2 weeks of prep!

Kids! Get out the pencil sharpener!! :-D

PS. Exodusbooks.com now has all their used books online too, so it is super easy to find what you need at at GREAT prices.... plus their shipping is only $3.50, no matter how much you order. :-)
Enjoy the pencils!
